Limited Edition Bud Light x UTRGV Vaqueros Cans Coming to the Rio Grande Valley

L&F Distributors and Anheuser-Busch are excited to unveil the newest limited-edition Bud Light package, exclusive to the Rio Grande Valley—an 18-pack of 12-ounce cans featuring official UTRGV Vaqueros branding!

The specially made Bud Light cans are inscribed with “Official Beer Sponsor of UTRGV Athletics” messaging and incorporate the University’s vibrant identity. The 18-packs have begun rolling out to stores, bars and restaurants throughout the Valley, as the inaugural football game approaches on August 30 when the Vaqueros play against Sul Ross State University at Robert & Janet Vackar Stadium in Edinburg.

The limited-edition packaging was made possible through a local partnership between L&F Distributors— the region’s sole distributor of Anheuser-Busch products— and the UTRGV Athletics Department.

“As a hometown distributor, it was important to us to create something special to kick off the first ever UTRGV football game,” said Nick LaMantia, Owner and Partner of L&F Distributors. “It’s a new sports era for the RGV and we are pumped for our Vaqueros to make football history.”

The Bud Light cans will be the first-ever in history to feature UTRGV—making them the perfect collectible for UTRGV and college football fans. Shipments from the Bud Light brewery will roll out in waves throughout the fall, ensuring efficient replenishment at the retail level.

Although UTRGV Football season tickets are sold out, Bud Light has secured 12 pairs of tickets that can be won at local activations hosted by La Preferida 98.5 FM, the Official Spanish Radio Station of the UTRGV Vaqueros, at the below dates, hours and locations.
